Story

elevator.png

Mahoyaku's story is included in a Main Story (21 chapters) and later on events. However, there will be hints to different important events that took place in the past and even in the present in card stories, affection stories, login stories... And a long et cetera! It's a game full of story, full of content and with a really interesting and mysterious plot that has kept some fans writing fan theories and wondering about what could happen.

Main story

Our MC, Akira, gets isekai'd into another world through an elevator. They come to a world that is basically on flames, everything is happening so fast, but he eventually decides to help with "whatever it is that is going on". They meet some wizards who explain the situation to them, and Akira decides to help the wizards with their battle against the apocalypse every year.

The story has a total of 21 chapters. You will keep getting chapters (divided into several parts) until you reach rank 75 in the game, which will give you the last chapter.

The opening for the game is Cast me a Spell by Mili, and the ending song is called Flowerworks, also by Mili.

Card stories

SSR

You can get stories when you unlock them after getting them. These card stories will have a different number of chapters depending on their rarity (R = 1, SR = 2, SSR =3).

Card stories usually feature few characters and are generally short and easy to read!

Event stories

Event stories have different storylines: you can easily divide them in two categories. One is "permanent" events (which means you can get their gacha cards anytime from the general box) and "limited" events (you can only obtain their cards in the events' correspondent gacha). There is a sparking system to get limited cards from gacha, too, though it takes around 18 pulls to do so since the items you're given to spark aren't kept after the event ends.

Permanent events

Permanent events come in sets. The three SSRs are from the characters of a same country except for Northern ballad (which, for some reason, has Heathcliff as third SSR). They follow the main storyline and their events are related to missions the wizards have been assigned to complete.

There are three different series for permanent events: etudes, preludes and ballads. Even though preludes were released before etudes, they're supposed to come afterwards in the storyline.

  • Etude: first missions for the wizards of each country. They're formulated as if they're memories of Akira's.

  • Prelude: related to the ritual of awakening of the spirits of the countries, wizards will need to reach temples to do so.

  • Ballad: missions related to requests made by secondary characters. These characters will play a big role in the stories and also narrate some of them, as if told from their point of view.

Affection stories

Each character has a 10-chapter affection story. They are stories in which each wizard talks about themselves to Akira, who is compiling all the data they know about them in another book for future reference. Things like their surnames, their age, the origin for their magical objects and the place where they were born, as well as things they're good or bad at will be revealed in these!
